A sales order is a list of items or services a customer authorizes you to provide on a defined date and price.

A sales order is a list of items or services that a customer authorizes you to provide on a defined date and price. This document is usually created after a customer has placed an order with a company and serves as a confirmation of the purchase.  

A sales order may include discounts, taxes, shipping information, and other vital details about the transaction. Once the sales order is finalized, it can generate invoices, packing slips, and other documents related to fulfilling the customer's request.
