"Routing "

Routing is the sequence of manufacturing steps an item goes through during production.

Routing is the process of outlining the manufacturing steps an item will go through during production. This can include everything from sourcing materials to assembly to packaging and shipping. Manufacturers can ensure that their items are produced efficiently and effectively by creating a routing.

Routing is an integral part of Lean Manufacturing, as it helps to eliminate waste and improve overall efficiency. By outlining all of the steps in the production process, manufacturers can identify any areas where improvements can be made. This could involve streamlining specific efforts, eliminating unnecessary activities, or making other changes to improve efficiency.

Creating a routing can be a complex task, as there are often many different factors to consider. However, doing so can help to ensure that items are produced efficiently and effectively. By creating a routing, manufacturers can improve their overall production process and save time and money in the long run.
