Return Material Authorization (RMA) is a company's authorization to return goods that have previously shipped. The RMA process is typically initiated when a customer contacts the company to request a return or exchange of goods.
The RMA may be issued for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to:
- The customer received the wrong product
- The product was damaged in transit
- The product is defective
- The customer is not satisfied with the product
Once the RMA has been issued, the customer will be instructed on how to return the product. The company will then inspect the returned product to determine if it is eligible for a refund, replacement, or repair.
