Depending on the product type, a few final steps can be involved before it is considered "finished." For example, testing or quality control may need to be performed on electronics or other delicate items.
Once finished goods are complete, they can either be stored until they are needed or shipped out to customers immediately. This decision will depend on customer demand and company inventory levels.
