A Part Number is a unique identifier that identifies every item.

A part number is a unique identifier assigned to every item. Part numbers are typically used to track inventory and ordering purposes. They can be alphanumeric or numeric and usually consist of a combination of letters and numbers. In some cases, special characters may also be included. Part numbers can be assigned by the manufacturer, retailer, or customer.
