ERP Term
"Available-to-Promise (ATP)"

Available-to-Promise refers to the date a product will be available for shipping, based on the availability of raw materials and the capacity to produce the product.

ATP is the date a product will be available to ship based on material and capacity availability. This date can be used as a planning tool to ensure that customers' orders can be fulfilled in a timely manner. Accurate ATP information can help avoid stockouts and backorders, resulting in lost sales and unhappy customers. ATP can also be used to assess the impact of changes in demand or production plans on the availability of products.
